🗞️ THE LOCAL LOWDOWN

Backyard Bird Feeder Returns to Potomac Village

After more than two decades away, The Backyard Birdfeeder has returned to Potomac and is now open for business right next to Potomac Grocer on River Rd.
Longtime residents will remember the shop as a local favorite, and its comeback is already drawing bird lovers eager to restock their feeders and refresh their backyards.
This shop is more than nostalgia. It is our one-stop spot for squirrel-proof feeders, custom seed blends, suet and mealworms, and even Smithsonian-certified Bird Friendly coffee to elevate your morning birdwatching.
There are kid-friendly projects for families and various binoculars for the serious crowd, all with owner Brad’s expert guidance.
