Hi, I'm Jonathan. I’ve spent more than two decades in digital marketing, specializing in all the ways to help businesses get found online. Yes, I actually understand how Google works. No, I will not fix your printer.

Before moving to Potomac with my wife and two sons, I lived in Washington D.C.'s Eastern Market neighborhood, where I served on the Eastern Market Community Advisory Committee (EMCAC) advising city leadership on the historic market. It was a lot of meetings about parking. A lot.

And Hi - I'm Colin. I’ve spent my career in communications, advocacy, and partnerships, work that often put me in front of the camera and sparked a curiosity about media and storytelling. That path began abruptly as an undergrad at Virginia Tech, where I was shot in the 2007 mass shooting and survived. It was a life-altering event that ultimately brought me to DC to help make change.

Since then, I started my family in Montgomery County and have had the pleasure of living in Bethesda, Chevy Chase, and Silver Spring, before moving to Potomac last year with my wife and four daughters (yes, four). Even our dog is female.

We started the Loop for a simple reason: we both wanted to feel more connected to where we live, and could not find one trusted place that made that easy. Two families trying to optimize downtime, which with six kids between us is mostly theoretical, we kept running into the same problem: great local venues, businesses, and recommendations exist, but they are scattered across different websites and social feeds. So we built the Loop to bring the best of what is happening in your neighborhood into one quick read, and help more people live more locally.
