Potomac Day Turns 43 on October 11th

Potomac Chamber of Commerce
Mark your calendars! The 43rd Annual Potomac Day returns on Saturday, October 11, 2025, promising to be the highlight of the fall season.
Hosted by the Potomac Chamber of Commerce and backed by local businesses, this free, rain-or-shine celebration will bring 5,000ā6,000 neighbors together in the heart of Potomac Village for a day of parades, cars, kids, and community pride (plus a few leashed dogs).
Hereās whatās in store:
The Parade. Assembly begins at 10:00 AM on Potomac Manor Drive, with step-off around 10:30 AM down River Road, turning onto Falls Road, and finishing by the Giant. Leading the way is the Cabin John Volunteer Fire Department, with the Chief riding in style on a vintage firetruck. Roads close at 10:00.
The Classic Car Show. Running 9:30 AMā3:00 PM, the show features trophies like Best in Show, Peopleās Choice, and the Fire Chiefās Favorite. Register your vintage ride the morning of for $25 and compete for prizes or just neighborhood bragging rights. Good news: this yearās event doesnāt conflict with the Rockville Antique & Classic Car Show, so more cars are expected.
The Business Fair. Open 10:30 AMā3:00 PM, with food, community organizations, and flu shots courtesy of Giant and Walgreens. Expect live music, demonstrations, and plenty of ways to connect with local businesses.
The Childrenās Festival. Always the crowd favorite. Kids can explore fire trucks, ambulances, and rescue boats, cuddle llamas and ponies at the Squeals on Wheels petting zoo, and burn energy on inflatables from Ultimate Amusements such as moon bounces, climbing towers, a kiddy elephant plane ride, duck race, and mini corn maze.
The Chamber is still in need of adult volunteers for the parade to help ensure it all runs smoothly. If you or your group can assist from 10am-12pm, please contact Jennifer Matheson at 301-299-2170 or [email protected]
This is one of those great Potomac days when youāll bump into old friends, eat good stuff, let the kids have fun, and celebrate the place we call home.
